Sunday,3 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 57 million jabs of COVID-19 vaccines have been injected while saying 12,428 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Sunday that 12,428 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,667 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 12,428 COVID-19 infections and 229 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,624,128.”
229 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 121,109,” the ministry added.
“5,758 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,095,627 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that more than 32.51 million coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country.
Finally, the Health Ministry of Iran indicated that 57,677,014 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the country as of Sunday, while adding that “More than 40 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while over 16.71 million have received the second dosage.”
According to the latest figures, more than 235,537,526 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,813,806 and recoveries amounting to 212,398,206.
