Referring to the current situation in Afghanistan and the active diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this regard, our Foreign Minister condemned the recent and targeted terrorist acts of ISIL in this country and reminded the Taliban of its responsibility to protect the security of tribes and followers of different religions against terrorist acts. Emphasized the importance of forming an inclusive government in Afghanistan.

Amir-Abdollahian considered the international community a responsibility to pay attention to Afghan refugees in neighboring countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Recalling the agreements reached between the two sides in a recent meeting in New York, our Foreign Minister announced efforts to further develop and strengthen relations between the two countries.

In this telephone conversation, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Mersudi emphasized the protection of human rights, especially the rights of women, and said that the handling of Afghan refugees is a human responsibility that needs the special attention of the international community.

While inviting his Iranian counterpart to visit Jakarta, the Indonesian Foreign Minister welcomed the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries and stated that in this regard, the necessary recommendations have been made to the government agencies to reach agreements and projects defined between us and Execute or finalize at the right speed.
