Friday, 29 October 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian painter, director, writer, art critic, and university professor, Iran Darroudi passed away at the age of 85.

Iranian Prominent Painter Iranian veteran painter, director, writer, art critic, and university professor, Iran Darroudi passed away at the age of 85 in Tehran on Friday morning of cardiac arrest.

Iran Darroudi was born in 1936 in Khorasan to a prominent dynasty. She had hold 60 individual exhibitions and 200 group exhibitions, and also published several art critics in various newspapers, colorful speeches in cultural and artistic establishments around the world. In addition to that, she directed some 80 collaborative documentaries and also an autobiography, called "Distance Between Two Dots".

She had 50 years of work in Contemporary Art of Iran and is known as one of the most influential artists in the world.

Her artwork displayed at internationally recognized venues such as the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts, the Kerman Museum of Fine Arts, the Sa'dabad Palace, the Saheb Gharani-e Palace, Belgium's Ixelles Museum and a number of exhibitions of Contemporary Art in New York.
