Thursday, 4 November 2021 (YJC)_ Commander of the IRGC said that the US is used to sustaining defeat in its plots against the Iranian nation while appreciating the bravery of naval forces to defeat recent attempt of the US to steal Iranian oil tanker.
Addressing a rally and commemoration ceremony of the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance held in front of the former US embassy in Tehran, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami said that the US is used to sustaining defeat in its plots against the Iranian nation while appreciating the bravery of naval forces to defeat recent attempt of the US to steal Iranian oil tanker.
“The US is in habit of being defeated by Iranians; however, they have yet to learn the lesson well,” he said.
He went on to refer to the US hegemonic moves to provoke wars in the world and added that “Thus far, the American policy resulted in more than 40 major wars in 40 parts of the world.”
“Right now, many countries in Europe, Africa, South America, the Far East, West Asia, and Russia are engaged in wars ignited by the US and this resulted in more than 8 million dead in the world,” General Salami added.
Furthermore, he said that the aim of US administration is to dominate the Islamic world n order to dominate the entire world,” and added that “The Islamic Revolution of Iran prevented the Americans' dreams from coming true, Iran foiled US plots in the region.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed out the recent successful operation made by Iranian Navy forces to defeat the US attempt to steal Iranian oil tanker and said that “Iran is the major provider of security to the region, the regional countries can easily rely on Iran for security rather than foreign powers.”
Finally, he said “Those who are unable to maintain their own security cannot be reliable.”
