Saturday, 27 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said at the ECO Foreign Ministers' Meeting that active participation in this organization is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Mehdi Safari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is in Ashgabat, thanked Turkmenistan for hosting the summit and stressed the importance of multilateralism in resolving regional and international challenges through mutual understanding. And emphasized the spirit of cooperation.
Our Deputy Foreign Minister added:
The Islamic Republic of Iran continues its policy of expanding friendly relations with other countries, especially with neighboring countries, and active participation and multilateral arrangements such as the ECO are a priority in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Referring to the membership of Iran and most of the ECO countries in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Safari praised the cooperation and synergy of the two organizations to enhance cooperation in important regional areas.
The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also referred to the mid-term evaluation report of the ECO Vision Document, while supporting the proposals, and called for the participation of all member states in achieving the goals of this organization.
