"Putin and Cameron noted interest in restoring ties (between Russia and the West).
They are also noted interested adopting efficient measures to settle the Ukraine crisis which will facilitate the renunciation of confrontational sentiments," Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian news agencies on the margins of the G20 summit in Brisbane Australia.
