At an extraordinary meeting of the National Corona Headquarters, chaired by President Seyed Ibrahim Raeisi on Sunday night, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education presented a report on the latest spread of the new Omicron strain in the country and measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus. .
In this report, the Ministry of Health emphasized that people who have received the first dose of their vaccine should receive the second dose immediately, and all citizens who have at least three months after receiving the second dose should go to the vaccination centers to receive the third dose.
Also in this meeting, it was decided that from Monday, the vaccination centers will resume their activities as in previous months in order to facilitate the process of receiving the vaccine.
At its extraordinary meeting, the National Corona Headquarters stressed the need to intensify social care and adhere to health protocols, especially the use of masks at family parties and in public places, given the high speed of Omicron release.
In this meeting it was decided:
Restaurants and reception halls must carefully implement the health protocols announced by the Ministry of Health, especially the use of masks by clients and staff, and the inspection of these centers should be done more intensively and if not observed, the violating centers should be closed immediately.
Accordingly, all people were asked to observe social distancing with sensitivity and to avoid traffic and gatherings in crowded centers and communities in the days leading up to Yalda.
The Ministries of the Interior and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education should also announce restrictions on the entry of passengers from contaminated countries and take the necessary measures to ensure the health of passengers.
