Sunday, 9 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iran’s Permanent Mission to the UN lashed out at the Wall Street Journal’s recent reports because of their persuading tone for the US officials into waging.
In reaction to the recent reports published by Wall Street Journal, Iran’s Permanent Mission to the UN criticized their tone for encouraging US leaders toward war.
While assuming the failure of the current Vienna talks, The Wall Street Journal claimed it would be better for US President Joe Biden to prepare for a military strike.
Iran’s Permanent Mission to the UN said that this approach is in violation of the principles of International Law and noted “Encouraging leader toward war, especially when a serious diplomatic process is underway- is ignorant, hostile, and in contravention of the principles of International Law.”
He finally noted that “the ones who implement such plans will bear responsibilities for consequences.”
This reound of Vienna talks (8th round) began on Monday with the aim of lifting sanctions against Iran. Discussions on Wednesday are continuing at various levels.
In a relevant remark, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that reaching an agreement will be possible if the other parties negotiate in good faith and said “Vienna negotiations are on the right track. Now Iranian team have a common and fixed text to be focused on. If the other parties continue the negotiations in good faith, it is possible for all parties to reach a good agreement.”
