The South Korean military announced Monday morning that North Korea, which has repeatedly tested missiles over the past few days, fired again another unidentified missile.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the firing was aimed at the East Sea and its coordinates and type of missile are still unknown, but South Korean military experts say that the projectile was probably a ballistic missile.
The North Korean government said on Saturday that a missile unit based on the country's railways had fired two tactical guided missiles at a target in the East Sea in a new firing exercise on Friday.
The North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the unit held the exercise in North Pyongyang province on the Chinese border with the aim of "assessing skills and accuracy" in its operational processes.
This is North Korea's fourth missile test in a week.
