The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Ibrahim Raeisi, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, referring to the influential role of the two powers of Iran and Russia in the region and the world:
We have no restrictions on the development of relations with Russia, and the excellent Tehran-Moscow relations are at the level of strategic relations and will be upgraded.

Hojatoleslam Raeisi called the common understanding of the two countries in regional and international issues the basis for joint cooperation and said: "Iran-Russia relations are on the path of strategic relations."
Successful experience of cooperating against terrorism in Syria can be used in the Caucasus and Afghanistan
Raeisi described maximum interaction with neighboring and allied countries as one of the foreign policy priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran:
Strengthening bilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia will boost the economies of the two countries and increase security in the region and the world.
Emphasizing that Iran's cooperation with independent governments is expanding regardless of international developments, the President said that the fight against terrorism and organized drug trafficking are among the pillars of joint cooperation.
Successful experience of cooperating against terrorism in Syria can be applied to the Caucasus and Afghanistan.
The borders, national sovereignty and geopolitics of the Caucasus region are immutable
Emphasizing the immutability of the borders in the Caucasus and the national and geopolitical sovereignty of the region, the President stressed the need for cooperation for the economic development of the region and said:
NATO influence with any cover in the Caucasus and Central Asia threatens the common interests of independent states.
The only way to stabilize Afghanistan is to form an inclusive government with the participation of all groups
Raeisi said that the only way to stability and lasting security in Afghanistan is to form an inclusive government with the presence of all ethnic groups and groups, and addressed his Russian counterpart:
We have stood up to the United States like you for the past 40 years.
He called the cooperation between Iran and Russia in the fight against terrorism in Syria a successful experience and stressed the need to preserve Syria's currency integrity.
The complete sovereignty of the central government over all the lands and international borders of Syria is the only way to ensure security in Syria, and the vicious cycle of the occupier's movement with terrorists and vice versa in Syria must be stopped.
The President described the Astana process as a good framework for a diplomatic solution to the Syrian issue.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also said during the meeting:

He continued:
We have been in constant contact since your inauguration, but in any case, videoconferencing or telephone calls cannot replace a face-to-face meeting. I am very glad to see you. We can say that we have a wide agenda ahead.
The President of Russia emphasized:
Iranian and Russian support helped overcome the terrorist threat in Syria. The situation in Afghanistan was of special interest to both sides, and I would like to discuss these important issues and seek your views.
According to the report, during the meeting, the two sides stressed that the main problem of the world is the distance from spirituality.
