North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Thursday morning condemned US hostile policies against his country.
North Korean state media (KCNA) reported that Kim made the remarks during a meeting of his government's political office in Pyongyang.
Accordingly, the North Korean leader convened a meeting of the Political Bureau and ordered a review of "confidence-building" measures with the United States amid its hostile policies.
Condemning Washington's hostile policies against Pyongyang, Kim promised at a political bureau meeting that North Korea would prepare for a long-term confrontation with the United States, according to the Yonhap news agency.
The North Korean leader also instructed officials to review the resumption of temporarily suspended activities. Pyongyang has imposed a voluntary suspension of nuclear test and intercontinental ballistic missiles since late 2017.
