Iranian FM: Holocaust Resolution at the UNGA is Null

Saturday, 22 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Foreign Ministry named the resolution issued on the Holocaust at the UNGA null.

Iranian FM: Holocaust Resolution at the UNGA is NullIranian Foreign Ministry released a statement on which reacted to the resolution issued on the Holocaust at the UNGA and called it null and an abuse of international mechanisms.

“A resolution issued on the Holocaust at the United Nations General Assembly and its articles are unrelated to Iran,” the statement reads and added “it is null and is initiated by the Zionist regime in order to cover up its crimes.”

 The ministry called this resolution as an abuse of international mechanisms by the Zionist regime.

Elsewhere in the statement foreign ministry noted “Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York has in a statement to declare the country’s stance on the Holocaust resolution and to say that the racist Zionist regime abuses international bodies to cover up its daily crimes against Palestinians.”

“Iran has considered genocide an act to be condemned and unjustifiable under any circumstances,” the statement noted while adding that “During WWII Iran hosted people displaced by the conflict in some European countries while the Zionist regime has constantly attempted to exploit victims.”

The Foreign ministry finally concluded “Over the past seven decades, the Zionist regime and its leaders have committed all acts of criminality against humanity. Genocide, assassinations, ethnic cleansing, the demolition of houses, and siege are some of them. We have always insisted and will insist that in order to avoid the repetition of historical catastrophes historical research is needed.”
