"African countries have rich and talented natural resources, minerals and manpower," said Seyed Ibrahim Raesi during a meeting with Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dossi today.
Tehran seeks the comprehensive development of relations with African countries, including Togo, in the common interest of nations.
"Westerners have historically sought to colonize and exploit the countries of the African continent, and today they pursue their desires and interests in this form in various forms," Raeisi said.
The efforts of the people of this continent to maintain their independence are valuable, and their success depends on the emphasis on national identity, culture and resistance to extremism.
The President stated:
African countries have the necessary capacities for development and prosperity, and the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the independence, progress and welfare of the African people.
Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dossi also stressed that his country wants to establish extensive and comprehensive relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Lomeh is confident in Tehran's approaches to the development of relations and hopes that the policy of developing economic cooperation with Africa will be strengthened through mutual partnership.
Condemning the West's oppressive sanctions against independent states and nations, the Togolese Foreign Minister stressed:
We call for joint cooperation with Iran to activate our capacities for mutual benefit.
