Thursday, 27 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman said the recent remarks made by the UK foreign secretary on Vienna talks are baseless.
In reaction to the British foreign secretary’s comment on Tuesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh called it baseless and irresponsible.
Recently, British foreign secretary claimed that Iran will be responsible for a possible impasse in the Vienna talks and, in that event, all options will be on the table.
“UK and some Western countries resort to such the hollow blame-game in order not to show years of their inaction and support the illegal and inhumane US sanctions,” Khatibzadeh said.
He went on to say that “such irresponsible and baseless claims will not reduce Britain’s legal and moral responsibility for the violation of the Iran nuclear deal. They also are not able to weaken Iran’s determination achieve a lasting and reliable deal.”
“Western countries are doing their outmost to not let this last opportunity at the negotiating table pass, they themselves are aware of the fact that how baseless such claims are,” he finally noted.
