Friday, 28 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the Russian Foreign Minister had a telephone conversation with his German counterpart about the Vienna talks.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced a telephone conversation between German Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and German Foreign Minister Annalina Bauerbock on tensions between NATO and Moscow, the Stream-2 gas pipeline, as well as the Vienna talks.
According to Al Jazeera, Lavrov and BayerBook discussed the progress of the Vienna talks on reviving the 2015 nuclear deal in this telephone conversation.
No further details have been released on the talks between senior Russian and German diplomats.
Recently, referring to the ongoing negotiations in Vienna for the lifting of sanctions, our Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian called the negotiations positive and reiterated the serious will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to reach a good agreement as soon as possible.
It is worth mentioning that the eighth round of Vienna talks on lifting the sanctions is underway in the Austrian capital with the presence of Iranian delegations and the P4 + 1 group (Germany, France, Britain, Russia and China).
