Saturday, 26 February 2022 (YJC)_ - Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN condemned illegal presence of foreign forces in Syria.
Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi condemned illegal presence of foreign forces in Syria.
Addressing a UN Security Council session on Syria, Takht Ravanchi said “The unlawful presence of foreign forces, including US is violating Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
“This illegal presence is the root of conditions for terrorist activities in Syria and must end immediately,” he added.
He went on to blast the Israeli regime’s recurrent strikes against the Syrian territory, and said “Recently there have been attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructures, this constitutes flagrant violations of international humanitarian law.”
