Saturday, 5 March 2022 (YJC)_ A member of the Hamas movement, in response to Australian actions to include Hamas in the list of terrorist groups, dismissed the accusations against the movement.
Ezzat al-Rashq, a member of Hamas' political bureau, strongly condemned Australia's inclusion of Hamas in the list of terrorist groups.
Al-Rashq said that we strongly condemn the actions of the Australian Government and that our nation's efforts to defend its legitimate rights and its principles in the struggle for the liberation of our land are disgusting beliefs.
According to Rai Al-Youm newspaper, Hamas also called the accusations false and far from having an accurate understanding of the history of the Palestinian people and the reality under its occupation, adding that Australia and before that Britain and all pro-occupier countries have narratives and plans. They accept Zionism, share in its ongoing terrorism, and pursue a one-size-fits-all policy in dealing with the just cause of Palestine.
Zionist media reported that Australia had named Hamas as a terrorist group.
