Palestinian media reported this morning (Thursday) that Diab al-Masri, the father of Mohammed al-Daif, commander-in-chief of Kataeb Izz al-Din al-Qassam, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), had died.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, in a statement condoling the death of Muhammad al-Daif's father and referring to his struggles throughout his life, noted that he had trained his children and grandchildren for jihad and martyrdom for the resistance and liberation of Palestine.
Following this statement, condolences were extended to the Commander-in-Chief of the Books of Al-Qassam and his family, and to all the Mujahideen and resistance fighters, and God Almighty was asked for mercy, forgiveness, and companionship with the prophets, the faithful, and the martyrs.
The funeral of Mohammed al-Zaif's father is scheduled to be attended by a large number of Palestinians, resistance leaders and representatives of Palestinian groups.
