Sunday, 3 April 2022 (YJC)_ The head of the Al-Fatah coalition in Iraq, in a meeting with the British ambassador, said that the available information indicates London's intervention in the political situation in Iraq.

Al-Amiri meets with the British ambassador: You are interfering in the political affairs of IraqThe leader of the Fatah coalition in Iraq, Hadi al-Amiri, said on Saturday during a meeting with Mark Bresson Richardson, the British ambassador to Baghdad:
The Iraqi political process from 2003 to the present is based on the three main pillars of agreement, participation and balance.

According to Al-Furat News, Al-Amiri addressed the British ambassador:
We have information from foreign intelligence agencies that confirms your continued interference in the political situation, and we believe that the stability of Iraq is the stability of the region, and everyone must remove the political obstruction for the sake of stability in the region.

Al-Amiri added:
We want the Shiites to reach an understanding with each other, and this will certainly lead to an understanding between the Kurds and an end to the differences in the Kurdish language. The coordination framework will never be short of forming a larger faction that protects the right of the Shiite sect in the cabinet, as well as agreeing on a candidate for prime minister.

The British ambassador also said that the British effort to develop bilateral relations with Baghdad requires the establishment of a government based in Iraq, and that this is important for London at this stage.

Al-Amiri said in the end:
Political instability creates security instability, and so I'm afraid of going back to the periods that affected Iraq.
