Saturday, 9 April 2022 (YJC)_ The Foreign Ministry spokesman called racism, repression, killings, imprisonment, widespread deprivation and daily humiliation of the Palestinian people and the naked terrorism of the Zionist apartheid regime the root cause of all unrest in the occupied territories and Iran's support for the Palestinian cause and its liberation struggles. Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referring to the recent developments in occupied Palestine, said:
Racism, repression, killing, imprisonment, widespread deprivation and daily humiliation of the oppressed Palestinian people, as well as the naked terrorism of the Zionist apartheid regime, are the root causes of all the unrest in the occupied territories.
The State Department spokesman called the fight against the occupiers a legitimate, self-evident and natural right of the defenseless Palestinian people and a response to the Zionists' repeated attacks on Jerusalem's holy sites and the continued crimes and aggressions of the occupying Israeli regime. He stressed the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Palestinian cause and the liberation struggles of its people.
Khatibzadeh called on all nations, governments and the international community to act in order to ensure the security of the Palestinian people based on the principle of self-defense against the occupation and terrorism of the Zionist apartheid regime and to prevent Zionist aggression and atrocities in Palestine.
In the end, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the only solution to the Palestinian crisis is to hold a referendum with the participation of all the main residents of Palestine and added:
Given the rebellious, lawless and covenant-breaking temperament of the fake Zionist regime, resistance is the only choice of the Palestinian-occupied nation to force the occupying regime to accept a democratic solution for the liberation of Holy Quds and to determine the fate of Palestine.
