Tuesday, 12 April 2022 (YJC)_ The deputy representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations warned of the possibility of new Ukrainian tensions in Odessa, saying that Ukrainian forces in Russian military uniforms were seen in large numbers in the city.
Russia has warned of another provocation by the Kiev regime, this time in Odessa, following Ukraine's blackmail over a chemical attack in the city of Mariupol.
"It is possible that the Ukrainian army in Odessa is preparing a provocative action to accuse the Russian side," said Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's deputy representative to the United Nations.
"I can not ignore reports from Odessa residents that Ukrainian armed forces soldiers in Russian uniforms have been seen in large numbers in the city," Polyansky told a Security Council meeting, according to the RIA Novosti website.
He also added:
It seems that a big and bloody tension is being prepared in this city or an operation is underway under a false flag. Colleagues, do not tell us later that we did not mention this to you.
Earlier in the day, minutes after Kyiv's claim that Russia had resorted to chemical weapons in Mariupol, the British Foreign Secretary and the Pentagon expressed concern about the possibility of such an attack.
