Tuesday, 12 April 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Communications and Information Technology minister announced that the country is going to export space-related services to other states.
On the sidelines of his presence in the meeting of the Parliament’s Industries and Mines Commission, Iranian Communications and Information Technology (ICT) Minister Issa Zare’pour announced that the country is going to export space-related services to other states.
“Iran will turn into one of the main exporters of space services both in region and Islamic countries,” he noted, and said the implementation of different phases of the national information network is one of the main programs of ICT ministry.
“We have decided to implement about 70% of the national information network in the current Iranian year, we are trying to add one percentage point to the share of digital economy in the total GDP of the year.” he added.
Prior to this, in March, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force successfully launched a new reconnaissance satellite named 'Nour-2' into the orbit.
