Pakistan strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying it was a gross violation of human rights law during the holy month of Ramadan.
A Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed concern over the escalation of violence by the Zionist regime in various parts of occupied Palestine.
The ministry said in a statement:
This brutal attack on worshipers, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, is a gross violation of all humanitarian norms and human rights laws.
The statement added:
In recent weeks, Israeli forces have killed and wounded dozens of Palestinians in East Jerusalem and elsewhere. This escalation of violence by the Zionists in the Palestinian territories is unfortunate.
A Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman called on the international community to pay attention to the Israeli aggression, citing the brutality of the occupying regime in Jerusalem against innocent Palestinians.
