Tehran, YJC. Iranian writer and translator says ISIL fighters are able to commit heinous acts since they have not had happy childhoods.
Writer and translator Ali Reza Emami speaking at a poetry reciting gathering in Milad Tower in Tehran on Saturday evening said that poetry and fiction are important things that have to be included in raising children.

He said "In fact when we tell stories, we want to get away from the bitter, ugly truths of the world and to seek refuge in children’s world.”

The author added "As much as the adults’ world is full of differences, colors, and time, the world of children is honest and simple.”

It is a pity that in this world of ours, children live with agony and discomfort, he said, adding "I believe that the reason why criminals such as the ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) group members have come to exist is that as children, they have not played and have not been happy. That is why they can easily behead a human being.”
