Monday, 27 June 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian President said that Israel will never get its security from normalization of relations with some Arab countries.
In a joint press conference with the visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in Tehran, Iranian President, Seyed Ebrahim Raiesi said that Israel will never get its security from normalization of relations with some Arab countries.
“Zionist try to normalize relations with regional countries, but they should be aware that will not bring the security to them. Iran and Iraq believe that peace and tranquility in the region depends on all regional officials, none of the regional people’s problems will be solved through normalization with the Zionist regime and the presence of foreigners,” he noted.
Trade and political and economic relations between Iran and Iraq were among the issue discussed in the meeting and two sides decided to boost economic ties. Also, the rail connection between Shalamcheh and Basra port was another issue talked in the meeting.
“We stood by people of Iraq during hard times and will continue to stick together. The visit by Mr. Kadhimi and his accompanying delegation can be a turning point in our friendship and relations,” he noted.
As the solutions to the existing problem, two sides have also discussed the need for establishing a durable ceasefire in Yemen, lifting the economic blockade, and facilitating intra-Yemeni talks.
