Tehran, YJC. An International Affairs Analyst has said that the Supreme Leader’s warning to Israel is in nature a message to the US.

Hassan Rooyvaran in interview with Fars provided comments on the Supreme Leader’s warning to Israel that Tel Aviv and Haifa will be raised to the ground should Israel make a mistake, saying "The US as well as the Zionist regime have brought up the issue of a military attack on Iran on pretences of nuclear activites.”

He added that while international organizations such as the Security Council of the United Nations have to prevent any threats being made against countries, they have not accomplished their duty.

Rooyvaran stated "The repetition of these threats has intoxicated Israel, making it prone to mistakes. The warning that the Supreme Leader made in Mashhad was made from the position of the Commander in Chief; and surely he is aware of the minute military details.”

"Therefore” he added "the Supreme Leader’s response was made based on current abilities.”

He also believed that Iran cannot remain indifferent to the threats and added "Iran is a unique country in the region. It is itself a defender of national esteem and independence at the global level. It does not sound good if a regime such as Israel threatens Iran. Somebody has finally to punch Israel in the mouth and give it a proper response.”

He further asserted "There is no one more fit in Iran than the Supreme Leader to make such warning. The fact that Iran so humiliates Israel by not recognizing it as an effective enemy is a message to the US, because the real enemy is the US; and Israel is only America’s watchdog in the region which attempts to threaten Iran with sound and fury.”
