Tehran, YJC. Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Wednesday that disagreement and insecurity are sure to keep the extremists and terrorists alive.
Appreciating Iraqi nation’s hospitality in hosting millions of mourners of Imam Hussain (P),the head of the Expediency Discernment said "Security is the most basic need of the region and disagreements among the Islamic governments endangers it, enabling the extremist terrorist groups to find stages for action in every corner of the Islamic world.”
Rafsanjani made the remarks in his meeting with the visiting Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim Al Jabouri.
He set example of the previous day’s deadly explosions in a military school in Peshawar, Pakistan, another one in a mosque in the Philippines, as well as the Wednesday morning explosion in Sana’a as the latest atrocious acts of the faithless terrorists.
The Iranian politician provided comments about the situation in some Muslim countries which after their revolutions against the corrupt ruling systems in their countries have become entangled in the quagmire of extremism created by terrorist organizations.
"It looks as if the extremist groups are commissioned to stir up so much insecurity and disputes in these countries that the people will get fed up and resort to resuming the rule of despotism and colonialism,” Rafsanjani wondered.
Parliament Speaker o Iraq Al Jabouri, for his part, said that his country’s situation today is a serious concern not only for Iran and Iraq, but also for all the regional countries as well as the entire world, necessitating cooperation and joint efforts of every political and religious organization in the region and the world.
