TEHRAN, YJC - Senior Iranian MP Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said on Monday that the French government has taken action to copy the September 11 attacks in the United States following the Charlie Hebdo incident.
The U.S. made efforts to wage wars and create a "wave of events” in the world, specifically Islamophobia, and it seems that the same scenario is being engineered by France, Haddad-Adel told the Mehr news agency.
On January 7, two masked gunmen stormed into the headquarters of French magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people, including eight journalists, two police officers, a maintenance worker and a visitor.
Haddad-Adel said the position that the Hollande government has adopted toward the attack indicates that France is copying the events that followed the September 11 attacks.
