Tehran, YJC. MP Esmaeel Kosari highlighted the impacts of a recent letter by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution ayatollah Ali Khamenei to the youths in Europe and North America saying the message will spark "new movements" in the West.
The Leader’s letter is of great importance as it addressed the youth and followingly received international coverage, said the senior lawmaker.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei wrote a letter in English asking European and North American youths not to judge Islam based on the recent terrorist attacks that targeted the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

"The letter is very definitely likely to trigger new movements in the West,” he stressed.

Kosari also referred to the Islamophobia campaigns directed by Westerners, and stated that European and American youth should know what lies the Western politicians are feeding to people, especially to the young generation who seeks the truth.

The MP added that this comprise the reason ayatollah Khamenei asked the youth to study Islam directly and gain rather first-hand knowledge of the religion.

In the historic letter, the leader called for the Western youth to try to gain a direct and firsthand knowledge of the Divine religion in reaction to the barrage of prejudgments and false campaigns.
