Tehran, YJC. Rouhani blasted a shooting spree in North Carolina University where 3 Muslim students were shot dead.
The message by Hassan Rouhani called for international movement against the root causes of violence hatred.

In his message, the Iranian president censured the killing of 3 Muslim students and offered condolences to the bereaved families.

"It is rightly expected that everyone in power do their best to protect the rights of all citizens including Muslims,” he demanded.

He renounced the incident is a despicable act worthy of condemnation, and counted it as a manifestation of the danger that violence and extremism have posed to the public.

Pointing to reports that the incident may have been an instance of hate crime, he said that attacking a religion is tantamount to attacking all ethical teachings and religious principles.

"Those who cultivate hatred, will surely harvest violence in their society,” he asserted, adding that the time has arrived to fight violence and explore the real roots of the crime.
