Tehran, YJC. Senior right-wing MP says that his party will support Reform-minded candidates in the next Majlis elections.

Mohammad Reza Bahonar, secretary general of the Followers of the Line of Imam and Leadership Party, speaking at a party session on Thursday said that his party will support Reformist candidates runnig for Majlis seats in the upcoming elections.

Bahonar who is also member of the Majlis board of directors, stated "There will be a threat and an opportunity in the upcoming election. That is because in the previous elections, Reformists were very much in the margin. But they are going to be much more there in the next round and we will welcome and support them."

He further noted that two conditions have been devised for candidates to be quelified for the Majlis elections. "The two are to pass the Law and arbitration," he said.

The senior politician also urged unity among principlist parties to make a fuller appearance in the elections.

"We have always stressed that our unity is not a philosophical one. But we want to coalesce and our perspective is to make a one hundred percent coalition."
