Tehran, YJC. Tehran Friday preacher has said that Iran has done everything in its power to build trust with Western powers.

Speaking to Tehran prayers on Friday noon, Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said that while Iran has done everything in its power and has provided the Western negotiators with all options to take on Tehran’s nuclear program, the US officials have no way to go on saying they don’t trust Iran.

He also praised the Iranian negotiations team for their good efforts and perseverance in defending the national rights of Iranians.

Iran and the six major powers 5+1 (the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) are holding talks on Tehran’s nuclear program.

On Friday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry met for negotiations.

They were aided by Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Aliakbar Salehi and US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz.

The sides have agreed to make a comprehensive deal by the self imposed deadline of July 1.
