Tehran, YJC. The Iranian Navy rejected reports that the country’s fleet has been driven out of the Gulf of Aden by Egyptian warships.

We will not have any fleet to give us unjustified warnings, asserted Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari on Tuesday.

Senior editor of Saudi online paper Arab News, Siraj Wahab, on March 26 tweeted that Egyptian ships forced the Iranian fleet out of Bab Al-Mandab strait near the Port of Aden.

The Islamic Republic’s Navy is patrolling about the northern Indian Ocean in full might and in keeping with international regulations, Sayyari said.

Rear admiral Sayyari added that the Iranian fleet is keeping security over maritime transport routes.

He further reiterated "The Iranian fleet will not have any fleet direct unjustified warnings at it, so the reports published by some arrogance media are untrue.”
