Iran, Turkey ink deal on auto-manufacturing

Iran and a Turkish auto-manufacturer signed a deal on mutual cooperation and joint production.
Expert Manager of Iran’s Oghab Afshan Corporation Mahmoud Gholami said the deal was signed with Turkish Autocar after one year of negotiations.
 
He said that agreement includes bilateral cooperation and production.

Afshan continued that the first joint production of the two sides would be a minibus which is going to be produced in two months.

According to Gholami, the minibus would be indigenized 40 percent by Iran in the first year of cooperation and then would be increased to 50 to 60 percent.

He also said that Iran and the Turkish company also agreed to export the minibus to neighboring states and are picking target countries.

Autocar produces minibus, autobus, kei truck, thriller and military vehicles.
