Iran and World Maritime University (WMU) inked a MoU in a bid to expand maritime cooperation.
Iran, WMU to widen maritime cooperationThe 5-year MoU was signed by President of Iran’s Sharif University of Technology (SUT) Mahmoud Fotouhi, President of WMU Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry Pres and CEO of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization Mohammad Saeed-Nejad.


The MoU stresses a technical development program for Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization with a joint academic certificate from WMU and SUT.

Holding PhD and MSc courses on maritime, e-learning, technical development program for Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization with joint certificate of WMU and STU.

Holding workshops, seminars, symposiums on maritime are other items of the MoU.

The three sides also stressed providing specialized education in maritime, management of maritime energy, maritime law and policy, safety management and maritime environment, sustainability, ports, shipping and logistic management.

Providing education in MSC degree in maritime executive management, international maritime law, maritime insurance, maritime energy, maritime safety and security and maritime international law are other fields of cooperation among the three sides.
