Mr. Walid al-Moallem has arrived in Tehran on Saturday along with Syrian Maj. Gen. Ali Mamlouk, Head of National Security Bureau.
The first visit on agenda for Syrian officials is with Mr. Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council later in the evening. Mr. Shamkhani has been serving as Political, Defense, and Security Coordinator of Iran’s operations with Russia and Syria.

The meeting will address latest developments in fighting Takfirists, political initiative to bring stability and peace, and conditions for a Syrian-Syrian dialogue.

Al-Moallem will discuss with Shamkhani measures taken to prevent resuscitation of the terrorist groups after the Aleppo success. After Aleppo liberation, a modest peace has recently ruled the whole Syria with Turkey, Russia, and Iran having agreed upon a ceasefire between Syrian government and opposition groups. The ceasefire does not include terrorists of Fath al-Sham and ISIL.
