The Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran added "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs engaged in the case early on. In the first step the diplomat was banned from leaving the country. The issue had to be examined by related authorities; therefore we prepared reports by the Police and other organizations.”
