Following Bushehr earthquake
Tehran, YJC. Official says that rescue team cleared the affected areas last night at 9:00, leaving nobody under debris.

Director of Rescue Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran said in Dashti county, Bushehr "Operations to give aid to those under debris are over while operations in other sections continue.”

"Also operations for settling the quake-stricken are carried out, one thousand tents being installed in the area,” Mahmoud Mozafar added.

He also said "About 700 houses were destroyed in the quake-stricken area and 850 people were wounded.”


Director of Rescue Organization added that rations are being distributed to the quake-stricken.

The earthquake hit Kaki district of Dashti county, Bushehr at 16:22:49 local time April 10.

The center of the earthquake was 110 km from Bushehr and 12 km deep.

Officials say no damage is done to the nuclear power plant.

Spokesman to the National Gas Co. said that no damage is done to gas facilities in the area.
