Iran is to receive know-how of manufacturing three Hyundai sedans, said CEO of Iran’s Kerman Motors Company Mohamamd-Reza Shahbakhsh.
"Know-how of manufacturing three Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20 and Hyundai Accent would be provided for Iran based on new agreements concluded with Hyundai,” he said.Kerman Morors Company would start designing the three sedans this year with 20 percent indigenous manufacturing. The share of Iran’s indigenous production in the sedans would rises by 40 percent by the end of the next two years.
He said that Iran’s agreements with Hyundai have been concluded in three versions. Car parts factory for the sedans would be inaugurated by next 6 months after receiving know-how from South Korea.
The second agreement includes providing required tools for equipping production line jointly with
Hyundai and the third one is guaranteeing after-sale services and know-how for auto marketing.
He said that 17.200 sedans would be produced and hit the market by the end of 2017.
