Managing Director of Iran’s Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Mehdi Yousefi said the zone’s exports have risen by 45 percent during the first ten months Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2016- January 30, 2017) comparing to similar period in the year before.
28 million tons of products were exported from this zone during the 10 months, he said.He also said Iran’s South Pars gas extraction hits 500 million cubic meters daily with new phases were launched.
Yousefi continued South Pars gas fields also produces petrochemicals, ethan, sulfur and LNG besides gas.
The zone’s exports respectively reached 19 million tons, 24 million tons in 2015 and 2016.
"Iran has exported 28 million tons of the product since the first 10 months of Iranian calendar year which grew by 45 percent comparing to similar period in the year before.”
On January 4, Yousefi announced that the value of non-oil goods, including gas condensates, exported from PSEEZ exceeded $10 billion in value in the first three quarters of the current Iranian year (March 20-December 20, 2016).
"The value of non-oil goods exports from PSEEZ customs showed an increase of 23 percent," Yousefi said.
He noted that the most important products exported from Pars Special Zone to 29 countries comprised diethylene glycol, urea fertilizer, butan, propane, paraxylene, mono-ethylene glycol, tri-ethylene glycol, light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, cement and methanol.
