The operational test of S300 aerial defense system was performed in “Damavand” drill with the civil and military officials attended.
S300 defense system was performed with the goal of assessing the of the aerial system functioning, applying a vast range of flying and missile targets.
According to the very assessment, assessing the capability of S300 aerial defense system in targeting objects of low radar cross-section as well as the technical and practical capability of Khatam ul-anbya Air Defense Base young officers in using the system were of other goals of Damavand drill.
In this drill, the system was totally tested by Iranian staff, with the simulated scenarios based on the up-to-date threats in the world. target detection, identification, interception, and conflict phases were performed by S300 system and its functioning in electronic war environment was assessed. The intended targets were shot and exploded successfully by the very aerial defense system.
