The Iranian Ambassador to Russia said that Hossein
Amirabdollahian has invited the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia to Tehran for
talks on regional affairs, including the Syrian crisis, reports Mehr News
Agency.
Reza Sajjadi said that Mikhail Bogdanov has been invited by
Amirabdollahian, the Foreign Minister Deputy in Arab and African affairs.
"The Russian Deputy of Foreign Ministry will arrive in Iran on
April 24 for a two-day visit,” he added.
Sajjadi said "Discussions
with the Russian Foreign Ministry on critical and mutually noteworthy issues
such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Middle East have always existed. This visit
will also be made within the framework of the two countries’ talks.”
He asserted "Russia and Iran have always cared for the
future. They have always disapproved of foreign intervention in the affairs of
the Syrian people. For that end we hold talks with Russia. In this visit as
well this issue will be one of the main topics.”
