Tehran, YJC. A Lawmaker has refuted allegations of Iranian intervention in Bahrain with saying that the affairs of the country are not important enough for intervention.

Esmail Kosari, Lawmaker and member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis said in interview with online news website Zendeginews, answering allegations by the Bahraini government as to having discerned Iranian hand interfering with affairs of the country "Bahrain basically is not important enough to us to make us interfere with its affairs.”

He added "Iran will never interfere with affairs of a country like Bahrain; and they better not stir up psychological war.”

He also asserted that Iran is not such a country to interfere with the domestic affairs of other countries, this being the country’s old policy which it does not refrain from.

Kosari also said that if Iran is to interfere in Bahrain’s affairs it would have no problem saying it out loud, but all the while there are not such intentions as interference.
