Tehran, YJC. The son of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani says he has considered candidature for upcoming presidentials.
After signing up for the City Council elections, the former CEO
of Tehran Subway Company said that he had considered running for the
presidentials, a local News Agency reported.
"When I realized the number of candidates for this term has
gone beyond moderation, and as Haj Khanom_ my mother_ would say, become a
thousand, I decided to have nothing to do with this round of elections,” Mohsen
Hashemi said.
Meanwhile, he provided comments on his candidacy for Tehran City
Council, saying "I run for the City Council elections in order to be able to
help improve the city.”
Mohsen Hashemi believed that the City Council must not be
regarded as an organization for political activity.
