Tehran, YJC. A chemical warfare veteran says that he and his ex-comrades use expired drug if they can get any.

Majid Moradi is a chemical warfare veteran as well as photographer and war writer.

He said in an interview with Tasnim "Western governments say they have not put sanctions on drugs while they have done so for all drugs needed by chemical warfare veterans.

He said "There are some foreign-made drugs which are hard to procure. There are some kinds of sprays which become unavailable every once in a while.”

"The Martyrs Foundation do their best to procure the drugs, but sometimes it is beyond their reach, too,” Majid said.

"Sometimes we have to use expired drugs,” he pointed out, "Western governments say they have not put drugs under sanction while they have. It is not just us, the chemical warfare veterans, whose drugs are under sanction, but many who suffer special diseases also face drug shortage. I do not know when this is going to end.  A patient who needs medicine must not be deprived of it.”
