Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker warns that as ministerial officials move between Majlis rows suspicions of lobbyism may be provoked.
Ahmadreza Dastqeib, Shiraz representative in the Majlis,
addressed the Majlis board of directors, saying "It is against the
code that
governmental officials keep moving between the rows of lawmakers, distributing promises
and questionnaires.”
"This induces the idea that Sports Deputy Ministers are trying to do a big lobbyism for him. The board of directors must warn against this,” he demanded.
He also criticized the board of directors for the way they manage the hearings and said "Your conduct regarding those lawmakers who would like to give their warnings is something new and beyond the law. You may first listen to the warning and then say whether it is accepted or not.”
He added "Apparently signing up on the system for a turn has no use and we must shout [for our turn]. Whoever shouts louder can give his warnings. So there is no need to sign up.”
"Where in the code does it say that you can say to a lawmaker if he insists on his warning? Your ways are not proper.” He pointed out.
