Tehran, YJC. Qalibaf and Haddad Adel have given Ahmadinejad’s statements on the Holocaust severe backlash.

Speaking with Tasnim news agency, Qalibaf said that Iran has never been at loggerheads with the Jew, but with Zionism.

He said "We had spoken for Palestine for 30 years and no one accused us of anti-Semitism, thanks to Imam and the Leader’s wisdom. But all of a sudden the Holocaust was brought forth with no attention paid to the consequences.”

Qalibaf believed that touching such an issue has affected Iran’s endeavors in supporting Palestine as well as its nuclear activities due to the unfavorable consensus that it brought against the country.

Qolamali Haddad Adel also said at a meeting in the University of Tehran "What Mr. Ahmadinejad said on the Holocaust first of all provided the Zionist with something to make a row about. There was no need for such statements.”

He added "At that time when I would visit somewhere abroad as the Majlis Speaker I could see what propaganda the Zionist were making.”
