Tehran, YJC. Alaedin Boroujerdi has said that Iran will continue international econo-political support for Syria.
Speaking
at a news conference, the Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy
Committee of the Majlis said regarding a trip by a Syrian parliamentary
delegation to Iran "The trip was made within parliamentary diplomatic
frameworks and in line with attempts by the Majlis in defending national
interests.”
He provided
comments that Syria is the forefront in battle with the Zionist regime and
added "This has caused the US and all its regional allies to use all financial,
military, international facilities to change Syria’s political structure in
favor of the Zionist regime.”
Boroujerdi
also deemed as necessary political negotiations between government and
anti-government representatives. He said "In many regions agreement has been
bade to lay down arms and pursue the issue diplomatically. The trend is
flourishing and we hope that with these procedures the Syrian imposed crisis
will resolve.”
He added
that next week the Syrian parliament will visit Tehran to hold talks with the Iranian
Majlis on mutual interests and reduction of tension in Syria.
