TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The chairman of the supervisory board for Iran’s presidential election abroad Hassan Ghashghavi stated in press conference on Wednesday that the 12th presidential election of Iran will be held in 103 countries abroad with 279 polling stations.

With regard to polling in Canada, Ghashghavi said that polling in this country is faced with some troubles to solve which attempts will be made through correspondence. As for the United States, also, he added that the polling process will be performed with 30 ballot boxes as formerly done.

Noting that the passion of Iranian compatriots abroad increases with each round of election, Ghasghavi attributed that very passion to IRIB (Iran national media) and election campaign staffs’ initiatives in their encouraging people to participating in elections.

Ghasghavi noted that the Iranian compatriots can vote with their passports in case of not bringing their birth certificates. Also, in case of having any question, the voters can e-mail their question to the relevant authorities.

stressing respect to democracy and preparing a secure environment for holding the election poll, the supervisory board chairman asserted that making any illegal aggregation and uttering bitter mottoes before the ballot boxes will not be let. Also he called for the necessary collaborations from the side of the security official of the countries in which the polling is to be held.
