Tehran, YCJ. Consultant to the Supreme Leader says that rival countries plan to topple Bashar Assad before the upcoming elections in Iran.
Major General Rahim Safavi, high consultant to the Supreme
Leader provided comments on intentions to overthrow Assad prior to the Iranian elections
and said "Foreign enemies of Syria have spent a lot of money to dispatch thousands
of hirelings to the country. They also intend to drag Jordan into war with Syria
with Arab money coming especially from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.”
